2 or More Groups

Dig deep this summer during Sent 2013. "2 or More" Groups include you, Jesus, at least one other person and one of our suggested books for Sent 2013. Meet at the beach, a coffee shop, or on top of Bishop's Peak. It's completely up to you! So pick up a book in the foyer any Sunday during Sent, grab a friend and get started. Further explanations are inserted in the front of every book. Our Sent 2013 books are "The Hole in the Gospel", "Unfinished", "Not for Sale", and "Pursuing Justice". You can find a little more information about each book below.  All four books will be a great complement to the Sunday teaching during Sent 2013.

*Books will be available for sale in the foyer during the Sent series.  All proceeds will go to Seeds of Hope in order to bring more clean water and sustainable education to Zambia.

The Hole in the Gospel, by Richard Stearns (President of World Vision), is the compelling story of a corporate CEO who set aside worldly success for something far more significant, and discovered the full power of the gospel of Jesus to change his own life.  He uses his journey to demonstrate how the WHOLE gospel was always meant to be a world-changing social revolution, a revolution that begins with us.

Not for Sale, by David Bastone, is about the return of the global slave trade and what we can do to fight it. 

Unfinished, also by Richard Stearns, explores the “critical mission of Christ in our world today” and “God’s calling on our lives.”   

Pursuing Justice, by Ken Wytsma, is a guide that “provides trustworthy scriptural analysis, examples of contemporary justice issues, a solid philosophy for understanding the role of justice in today’s society and in modern Christianity.”
