Teams

Mozambique/Niassa Team
After working for five years in Malawi, Africa, Janet and two families from her team moved across the border to live and work among the Yao people of Mozambique.  The team focuses on partnering the gospel with community development projects.  Janet has used her education in International Agriculture to start farming clubs in the hope of equipping local subsistence farmers with knowledge and practices to get them through the yearly hunger season.

Mexico Team
For several years now, we have had the privilege of sending teams to do a variety of outreach projects in the community of Vicente Guererro. Partnering with Welcome Home Ministry Center our teams have had the opportunity to visit orphanages, spend time with children in a daycare, pass out donations and food bags to a poor farming camp, and complete small building projects.
This year we have a small team returning to Vicente Guererro we look forward to reuniting with friends and making new friends. We have some small building projects planned for this trip as well as many outreach activities. We appreciate your prayers and support!  For more information you can email Jamie Neutill at jamie@cjneventplanning.com

Zambia CURE Team
The mission is to serve the CURE medical & spiritual staff however needed while ministering and being the love of Jesus to the kids and families being treated at the BEIT CURE Hospital of Lusaka, Zambia. Our team will be leading a VBS for the children in the hospital, assisting in painting the new children’s ward, and spending a week doing village to village evangelism in rural Choma, Zambia.  They will be headed to Zambia July 12th through August 3rd.  You can support this team both financially and/or prayerfully.  Please pray for our safety during the trip, for the Lord to place a servant's heart in all of the team while in Zambia, and that we may share the love and hope that only comes from the gospel of Jesus Christ. To donate financially cash or check made to CURE International can be accepted.  For more information please contact Jake Harandi at cureslo@yahoo.comYou can also support the team by visiting them to donate and/or purchase food at the Mb CafĂ© (coffee for a cause) on June 30th.

Thailand Team
We started Vineyard Church in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Southern Thailand in 2007.  Since I have been SENT from Mountainbrook, this is a
"daughter church" of Mountainbrook Community Church.  Our primary focus is young people (university and high school age) and children.
We have a church meeting on the campus of one of the universities for students to attend during the week.  As the university campus is
located outside the city, it can be difficult for the students to travel into the city for church.  We make an effort to get our church
meetings as close to the people we are ministering to as possible.

As with many cultures, the teenage and young adult years are a very impressionable time for Thai young people.  For many of them they are
quite sheltered at home with their families.  Moving to the dorms at university brings a whole new level of freedom.  Time and time again we have seen God's hand in divinely connecting us with students, at the right place in the right time.

Our hearts are also burdened for children.  We have targeted a lower income fishing community on the coast about a 15 minute drive outside
of the city.  Many of the children in this area are not growing up with a mom or a dad, instead they live with a grandparent or an
aunt/uncle. Often times the kids drop out of school after 6th grade or even earlier to go to work.  Sometimes it is the child's own choice, but other times they are pushed to do it by their care taker.  They usually take menial jobs in the fishing or construction industries. We have a weekly children's church with these kids, and we plan special activities for them throughout the year.
